I had an automatic switch, but it wouldn't recognize all my equipment, so I had to use the manual override. This switch replaced the old one, and the remote is great. This switch works as advertised. Just don't totally hide the switch or the remote won't work.
However, as Wii owners will know, there are a lot of times when games like Wii Fit or the Wii shopping channel, etc. It works quite well, is easy to install and the remote is a major league plus. have a lot of white on the screen, and that's when you'll notice the white squigglies. The only negative is that it does mess up the signal a bit when there is a lot of white on the screen, which you may want to take into account if you are considering this item. The reason we bought it is because we just got a Wii and are completely out of space for plugging anything else into the TV. Still, this is mostly for start-up screens and filler spots, so it doesn't interfere with the huge majority of time you'll be using it. Otherwise, this is a very good product and we have absolutely no other issues with it.
Was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Great product.needed two extra ports (for my Archos 605 & Nintendo Wii) and it works perfectly. No video noise and the sound is perfect. Also, comes with an IR remote, thus I was able to setup the unit using my Logitech Harmony ONE universal remote. Thanks to all the previous reviews & Amazon for helping me make the right choice.
GOOD PRODUCT, BUT IT WORKS BAD IN GE AND RCA TV SET,IN EVERY INTESE SCENE APPEARS A TREMOR ON THE IMAGE AND THE "UNUSABLE SIGNAL" NOTICE APPEARS ON THE SCREEN, IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER BRAND OF TV SET IT WORKS PRETTY GOOD.
So it's not exactly user friendly. A little confusing if you don't read the instructions - especially for people who have never used one before. People constantly ask me how to "get it working" - to select the proper device. But I love it - like I said. it gets the job done.
